Over 100 feet above Kensington High Street, Kensington Roof Gardens took root in 1938 in the imagination of the owners of Derry and Tom's Department Store.

A red-bricked Tudor Garden; a Spanish Garden with palms, fountains and manicured lawns; and a formal English Garden that extends the length of the roof and includes a fish pond, live ducks and flamingos. Ministry of Sound

The most famous clubbing brand in the world, this club-of-the-hour remains hot after all this time. Once inside, it’s as far removed from the days of raves as it is possible to get, although the sound is gobsmackingly great, it's even been said that DJs play there just to hear what their records really sound like.
After a recent rejig of the club's lavish VIP area, it will provide the same service, if not better, than what we have been accustomed to in the West End clubs. Legendary night is ‘Cheapskates’ on a Wednesday, 70p for a shot and mixer. Do not be deluded; just because this doesn’t tempt the media darlings of this world, it doesn’t mean the music and the fashion are not at the cutting edge of cool. Lots of fun.

Oxygen
Bar & Club - Leicester Square
Oxygen is by no means the best bar in the world. Caught up in an Eighties mirrors & metal vacuum, it is more tacky than trendy, but for some reason, it still has a certain charm. Upstairs are heavy chandeliers and wrought iron tables, while the basement is dedicated to sweaty grooving, as long as the sound system is working at the time.
Oxygen is the only licensed retailer of pure Oxygen in London, to give you a natural buzz. |

The Rocket
Pub - Euston
This is a typical student bar. If you're looking to find somewhere with a great atmosphere and very cheap drinks on a Saturday night this is your place. It does get quite busy and the later you get there, the longer it takes to get in, but when in, its full of studenty types who just want to have fun! |
The Roxy
Bar & Nightclub - Tottenham Court Road
It’s always risky when a club ventures to use red lighting, especially when it’s coupled off with loud, retro music, and a type of Moulin rouge décor. The Roxy, however, pulls it off well. Descending down two flights of stairs, customers will be wowed with the sudden illumination of an underground bachelor pad adorned with red walls sprayed with intricate black art.
Late evenings tend to attract a more university based type of crowd, particularly every Wednesday, which is a student night. As the Roxy is open late most nights, it turns from a trendy bar into a full on nightclub at around 10pm. |
Walkabout
Bar & Nightclub - Temple & Covent Garden
Overflowing with cheap food, kiwi and Aussie memorabilia, and imported, fast-flowing beer. Often visited by the locals and travellers from around the world alike, full of friendly faces.
